Shima Shahmohammadi is an Iranian kamancheh and qeychak player, university lecturer, and researcher with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Iranian instrumental performance from the University of Art in Tehran. She studied with prominent masters including Ardeshir Kamkar, Mohammad Reza Lotfi, and Mohammad Ali Kiani-Nejad, and has performed extensively as a soloist and ensemble musician in Iran and internationally. She is also the author of a published method for kamancheh and has taught Iranian music and instruments for many years.
