Ricardo Pauletti is a Brazilian guitarist, composer, and researcher known for blending classical and popular music, particularly through his work with choro and the 7-string guitar. He holds a degree in music from UNIVALI and a master’s in musicology from UDESC, where he is currently pursuing a doctorate in composition. His discography includes six albums, with Choro de Faia winning the “Best of Brazilian Music” award in 2014. As a performer, he has toured across Brazil and internationally, and as a scholar, his research on the 7-string guitar has become widely cited in academic literature. Pauletti has published scientific articles, a book chapter, and two sheet music collections, and currently teaches at UNIVALI and the Conservatory of Popular Music of Itajaí, where he also serves as Pedagogical Coordinator.
