Octávio Deluchi is an award-winning guitarist and one of the biggest names in Brazilian instrumental music. His is also a composer, arranger, professor, and producer. Recently, he joined the Stony Brook Graduate Music Program as a Doctoral student, under João Luiz’s guidance. He studied with Guilherme Vincens, Robert Trent, Fabio Zanon, and Paulo Martelli. Deluchi has premiered works from Vicente Paschoal, João Luiz Rezende, Luis Carlos Barbieri, and Mary Simmons, among others. Some of the scheduled premieres include works from Levy Oliveira and Jean Lopes, and he has arrangements and compositions published by Guitar Chamber Music Press and collaborates with Acervo Digital do Violão Brasileio. Deluchi is an Augustine Ambassador, using Augustine Blue Regal Strings.
