Musician and classical guitarist with a degree in composition in Venezuela/USA, Aureo Puerta Carreño serves as Composer-in-Residence of the Miami Symphony Orchestra. His music has been performed by the orchestra and interpreted by world-class musicians such as David Russell, Rafael Aguirre, and Eduardo Marturet. He comes from a legendary lineage of musicians, descending from Teresa Carreño—who famously performed for Abraham Lincoln—to Inocente Carreño. He is the founder of the Carreño Foundation and Carreño Music Academy, both based in Miami, where he leads innovative programs focused on early childhood music education. Aureo is also the creator of "The Secret Pattern of Music", a groundbreaking system that reveals the geometric and logical structure underlying music. Through his work, he integrates artistry, technology, and education to transform how music is understood, taught, and experienced.
